Frameless, London

We supported the delivery of Frameless London’s multi-gallery immersive experience, working alongside Creative Technology SI UK to commission the projection systems and finalise the AV infrastructure for operation.

A large-scale projection of Van Gogh's artwork displayed on walls and floor at Frameless, London

Frameless is not a single installation, but a high-density, multi-gallery projection environment where multiple projection systems must operate seamlessly across large-format surfaces.

Playback, alignment, and synchronisation must remain consistent across all spaces, while the system performs reliably under continuous daily operation. The challenge is not just visual quality, but long-term stability, maintainability, and operational readiness.

We were tasked to bring the system into its final operational state, bridging the gap between installation and live experience.

A vast, immersive art gallery bathed in deep orange and red light. A projection of Salvador Dalí’s "The Elephants" covers the walls, showing two long-legged elephants carrying obelisks against a desert horizon. Three people are sitting on the glowing floor
An expansive digital art installation featuring a vibrant, surrealist painting of a dancing figure projected across the walls and mirrored floor. The room is filled with several visitors who appear small against the tall, floor-to-ceiling projections.
A dark, atmospheric room where a dramatic digital projection of a stormy sea covers every surface. In the center, a ship filled with people struggles against massive, crashing white waves under a swirling, dark blue and gold sky.

Our contributions included:

  • Projection system commissioning, including calibration, alignment, and validation across all galleries to ensure consistent visual performance and synchronisation.
  • Rack terminations and infrastructure finalisation, ensuring signal paths, network connections, and system integrations were correctly implemented and documented.
  • System validation and testing to confirm the stability, performance, and readiness of projection and playback systems for public operation.
  • Integration support alongside Creative Technology SI UK to resolve on-site challenges, optimise system behaviour, and ensure all components operated cohesively.

This left Frameless with a fully commissioned, production-ready immersive environment capable of delivering consistent, high-quality experiences across all galleries.

For operators, that means projection systems that operate reliably and consistently, infrastructure that is correctly terminated and maintainable, and a smooth transition from build to operation.
