AVATAR, MADRID

Working with NEON Global, JPSS designed the AVC system and programmed and commissioned the network, Q-SYS, Alcorn McBride, projection and video systems for Avatar: The Experience in Madrid.

Pandora-themed environment at Avatar: The Experience in Madrid

Avatar: The Experience combines immersive scenic environments, interactive media, projection, video and spatial audio to transport visitors into the world of Pandora.

Delivering that experience consistently required the complete AVC architecture to operate as a coordinated system. Control, audio, network, playback and projection systems all had to communicate reliably while remaining practical for touring operation, technical support and daily show use.

Working with NEON Global, JPSS provided the specialist design, programming and commissioning expertise required to turn the individual technical disciplines into a cohesive operational platform.

Our contributions included:

  • AVC system design, defining the technical architecture and interfaces needed to support the complete experience.
  • Network programming and commissioning to provide reliable communication between control, audio, playback, projection and video systems.
  • Q-SYS programming and commissioning for audio processing, distribution, system logic and operator control.
  • Alcorn McBride programming and commissioning for dependable show control, sequencing and system coordination.
  • Projection and video system commissioning, including system validation and alignment with the wider show-control architecture.
  • Cross-discipline testing and refinement to ensure the systems behaved as one coherent, operationally manageable experience.

The result is a robust, touring-ready AVC system that supports consistent show delivery while giving operators clear control over a technically complex immersive environment.
