GALACTICA, ALTON TOWERS

Working with Alton Towers, JPSS developed the Q-SYS audio design and control system for Galactica, creating a coordinated platform for reliable attraction operation.

Galactica is Alton Towers’ iconic flying coaster in Forbidden Valley, combining a high-energy ride experience with a distinctive science-fiction environment.

Working with Alton Towers, JPSS developed the Q-SYS audio system design and control solution for the attraction. The design brought the audio architecture and operational control into a coordinated platform, supporting reliable day-to-day use by the attraction team.

The control approach was developed around clear operator workflows, predictable system behaviour and straightforward access to the functions required during normal operation.

Our specialist scope included:

  • Q-SYS audio system architecture and design.
  • Development of the attraction control interface and operating workflows.
  • Configuration of audio routing, processing and system control.
  • Coordination of control requirements with the attraction’s operational needs.
  • Testing and refinement of the completed Q-SYS system.

The result is an integrated audio and control platform designed to give the Alton Towers team reliable operation and clear control of the attraction’s audio environment.
